Assad killed 1600 civilians with nerve gas in Damascus today.

Our message to him is this:

We are not afraid. We are not giving up. Our cause transcends our bodies and you cannot kill it. We are coming for you.

Young Syrian children feed a Free Syrian Tortoise.Even though Syrians are hungry, they look out for each another. Assad is unable to kill Syrians’ resilient spirit of compassion, justice, and honor.

The first photo is of Yaseen Al Sabbagh and Maryam Al Sabbagh, photographed on January 20, 2013 with their cat just half an hour before they were killed by an Assad shell in Homs.

These photos were taken by “Lens of a Young Homsi,” a brave Syrian photographer inside besieged Homs. He took many of the photos of Homsi kittens that are hosted on this blog. I encourage you to visit his Facebook page where he uploads his photographs: https://www.facebook.com/LensYoungHomsi

Pray for Homs

A free Syrian kitten walks past an Assad bomb that failed to explode. Assad has littered Syria with unexploded bombs and mines that can pose an extreme danger to Syrian civilians, especially children, for decades. Unexploded ordinance can still go off and must be handled carefully by bomb-disposal experts. Here is a video of the Syrian kitten walking past the unexploded Assad bomb, which appears to have a drag-chute indicating it was dropped from an Assad aircraft: http://youtu.be/itf5KYVEUdM
